Endives with ham and Weydeland cheese

endives with ham and cheeseA delicious main dish for 4 people.


  • 800 gr. Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 Endives
  • 1 dl white wine or non-fat bouillon
  • 8 slices of ham (thin slices)
  • 200 gr. Small mushrooms, sliced in half
  • 250 gr. Weydeland matured cheese
  • Salt and pepper


Cook the potatoes whole until almost done. Do the same with the endives. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius. Peel and slice the potatoes. Grease a casserole dish with olive oil.


Layer the potato slices in the casserole dish. Sprinkle some pepper on each layer. Pour the bouillon over the potatoes. Slice the endives in half and wrap each half in a slice of ham. Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Meanwhile brown the mushrooms in the olive oil. Spread the mushrooms over the dish and scatter the cubed cheese on top.
